Weslee’s been coming on all of my photo shoots with me. Not every kid can do it…but Weslee’s really such a great kid (how did I ever merit such blessings?) He’s easily occupied with new and “grown-up” toys like calculators, hole punches and scrap paper, and fun snacks like Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch (one of my very favorite cereals). He loves to help snap pictures with his own disposable camera…and we always do something fun after the shoot. In Bury St. Edmunds, we always take time to feed the ducks or play some soccer. In Mildenhall, we always stop by the park. When we’re near Lakenheath, we head to the commissary for a little fun treat. Last time it was “pink” ice-cream…at Weslee’s request. (Pink is SO his favorite color right now…we have GOT to get this kid some guy friends. All of the kids he hangs out with are girls. But, I’m not that worried. He still likes guns and wrestling). After the Cassat’s shoot, he requested juice…and so we headed to the commissary. But, the poor kid crashed the minute we got there. People thought I was crazy when I pulled out my Canon 5d and started shooting away in the cereal aisle…but, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. These pictures just make me smile!
