Estes Park just might be one of my very favorite places in Colorado. When you enter Estes, you are immediately greeted by a gorgeous lake reflecting the expanse of mountains surrounding you. Quaint little buildings line the far shores of the little lake and you suddenly feel as if you’ve stepped into a fairy tale. Nestled up in one of those mountains is the YMCA of the Rockies where Dori and Matt decided to tie the knot in the rustic Hyde Chapel. It was a perfect Autumn day. Warm, but not overly so. The leaves had just barely started to turn on the tip tops of the mountains. The air was clear and fresh…applauding the new beginning these two were making.
The whole day was a celebration. Kevin and I even found ourselves admiring the relationships of these people and their friends and family. Hugs were abundant. The love was palpable…not just between the bride and groom, but between everyone present. Their friends, their family members…all were so joyous for this union. I felt so honored to be there.
Congratulations, Dori and Matt!
